Food Market Application

Our Roots and Blues Festival Food Village offers a wide variety of delectable consumables from many cultures to suit every appetite.

Vendors are selected based on a variety of factors including menu quality, type, booth specifications, electrical needs etc. Remember – we are set up in an outdoor area!
The Festival provides just the space, electrical and water/grey water hook ups. Vendors are required to provide flooring, sump pump, handwash sinks, hose, extension cords, lighting, booth and all other equipment. Vendors are required to comply to all health regulations, and provide proof of insurance. Electrical needs are an important consideration in the selection process.

Artisan Market Application

The Roots and Blues Festival plays host each year to about 25 artisans from British Columbia and across Canada, who sell their creations in our Artisans Village. Clothing, ceramics, jewellery and woodworking are just a few of the types of work represented in the Village.
Selection of artisans is a juried process. We give primary consideration to handmade artisan items, rather than import/export or commercial goods. Each vendor is asked to donate an item from their booth (approx. value $20) for the Festival to use for our annual silent auction. The arts market is outdoors and operates rain or shine. All vendors must supply their own power cords, display tables, chairs, tent/canopy (which must be pegged to withstand all kinds of weather.
